# Telegram alerts

> Link your account to the Telegram bot and receive publications and results from the tipsters you follow or subscribe to.

Alerts go through Telegram. Once your account is linked, you are notified without
having to come back to the site.

## Linking your account

1. In your dashboard, open the **Alerts** tab.
2. Click **Open Telegram**: Telegram opens on the `@tipster4you_bot` bot.
3. Start the conversation with the bot (**Start** button, or `/start`).
4. Click **Link my account**.
5. Come back to the site: the tab shows "Connected" with your Telegram identifier.

If the tab stays on "Not connected", send `/start` to the bot, wait a few seconds and
reload the page.

## What you receive

The tab lists the four alert types: new prediction from your followed tipsters,
winning prediction, losing prediction, promotions and special offers. The content
depends on your link with the tipster:

| Situation                                               | Message                                                                                |
| ------------------------------------------------------- | -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
| A tipster you **follow** publishes                      | A short message: "X published a new prediction"                                        |
| A tipster you are **subscribed** to publishes           | The full prediction: sport, league, match, selection, odds, confidence, date, analysis |
| A prediction you bought or are subscribed to is settled | The result, won or lost                                                                |

Bet details are never sent to someone who is not entitled to them.

## Unsubscribing

In the Alerts tab, "Unlink" stops the messages. You can also block the bot in Telegram.
